The Week of the New Maastricht: Keynote Lecture by Charles Landry

1 June 2018

WNM18 starts on Monday 28 May at various locations around the city and WNM18 concludes with a keynote lecture by Charles Landry on Friday 1 June. Charles Landry is an author, speaker, and international advisor.

Maastricht isn’t only stone buildings and public spaces; its primary constituents are people: inhabitants, students, expats, tourists. They make the city. They discover the city. They are the city. This is why this year’s WNM18 (the Week of New Maastricht 2018) is dedicated to the urban human.

Visitors to the WNM18 are invited and encouraged to take a different look at Maastricht. For inspiration, Dear Hunter reports on their research into a part of the city that is rapidly changing. The question of why most students leave Maastricht – the ultimate student city – after graduating is also addressed. And what creative experiments, raw edges and inspiring examples can be found in the city?
