TEFAF Pop-up hotel 'To Many Places'

11 till 13 March 2017

From 10 to 19 March, Bureau Europa, platform architecture and design, transforms into the TEFAF Pop-Up Hotel, for which we have developed a special programme, working in collaboration with The Student Hotel – our new neighbours – and designer Emmy Polkamp.

During TEFAF, the ‘To Many Places’ travelling pop-up hotel offers a select few the opportunity to sleep in one of several design tents, set up in the former industrial premises of Bureau Europa and located in the heart of the Sphinxkwartier. So, if you’re visiting TEFAF and looking for a special place to stay, then book a night in this interactive art installation.

Emmy Polkamp developed ‘To Many Places’ following her graduation from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2015, giving herself the mission of revitalising abandoned buildings in forgotten neighbourhoods. Her art installation was first presented during the 2016 Dutch Design Week and has since featured at various festivals and historic sites. Emmy Polkamp, who will provide breakfast, intends the project to add value to unexpected locations and as an alternative to traditional hotel accommodation.
