Made in collaboration with Noto graphic design studio, 'Meet the Maker' takes place at Bureau Europa on Sunday 12 March 2017. During 'Meet the Author' we offer Euroregional talents the opportunity to showcase their work and engage in dialogue. The aim is to enable sustainable cooperation and networking.
The setting for this third edition of 'Meet the Maker' is the 'To Many Places' pop-up hotel. Emmy Polkamp will give a brief introduction about the background of this interactive art installation, which has been commissioned by Bureau Europa's future neighbours, The Student Hotel.
Five designers and artists from the Euroregion are each invited to briefly present their work, after which they engage with each other and invited curators, collectors, and policy makers from the cultural field.
For this edition of 'Meet the Maker' we invited:

• Joelle Boers (tbc), fashion designer, Sittard
• Sara Bachour, artist, Maastricht
'Meet the Maker' offers the opportunity to gain insights into the cultural business climate and lets us discover what we can learn from the different disciplines.
From 12:00 to 14:30, Bureau Europa opens its doors to a select group of curators, collectors, and policy makers from the cultural field. After the presentations, an informal brunch is held to stimulate discussion between the presenters and guests and is led by Saskia van Stein, Bureau Europa's director.
