De Toonzaal

Maastricht Glass- en Ceramics Market

29 November till 1 December 2024

The annual ceramics market is back! Following successful and well-attended ceramics days in 2021, 2022, and 2023, Bureau Europa and the Earthenware Heritage Foundation Maastricht proudly present De Toonzaal once again. This three-day heritage bazaar will showcase beautiful pieces of authentic Maastricht ceramics and glass. Be sure to check out the tables and cabinets as well, as they’re also for sale!

Bureau Europa is housed in the former executive offices and showroom of the Sphinx factories. At this location, elements from the rich history of Maastricht's ceramic culture are being restored to their former glory. With the Maastricht Glass and Ceramics Market, the old showroom will come to life for three days.

In addition to the market, there will be a presentation of works by Prisca Sinay, who has used materials from the former Ceramic Workshop (JeMa) in Maastricht. The works and stories of the artist Edmond Bellefroid will also be highlighted, thanks to the Social Historical Center for Limburg. You can also have Maastricht glass and earthenware appraised.

Tickets are €3,- and are available via bureau-europa.nl/tickets and at the counter.

On Friday, SHCL (St. Pieterstraat 7) will host an afternoon of lectures on Maastricht pottery; more information can be found at www.shclimburg.nl.
