The Great Indoors Award 2011

In November 2011, the third edition took place of The Great Indoors Award, a biennial international event in the field of interior design.

On 4 November, the festive Great Indoors Award Ceremony took place in De Timmerfabriek in Maastricht. Four awards were given to the best (semi) public interiors in the categories: Show & Sell, Relax & Consume, Serve & Facilitate, and Concentrate & Collaborate. The Great Indoors Award is an international biennial, interior design award, that wishes to celebrate the best interiors worldwide.

And the winners were:

The Merlion Hotel, Singapore 2011

A small (but functional) temporary hotel in Singapore, around a famous city landmark: the Merlion statue.

Aesop Stores, Paris, Greville Street and Merci 2010

Three different interiors in a trio of Aēsop stores (two in Paris and one in Melbourne). 

The international jury, chaired by Renier de Graaf, partner at OMA, consisted of Jurgen Bey, Jan Boelen, Kozo Fujimoto and Ilya Oskolkov-Tsentsiper. This third edition of The Great Indoors was as always accompanied with lectures and master classes.
