During Museumnacht, you will meet the makers of the exhibition Harvest: an annual, multi-day manifestation in which artists and designers from contemporary visual arts, design, and cross-disciplinary practices present their work in direct relation to the city of Maastricht.
In the corner room, work by Yense Meij will be on display.
In addition, in the basement at the Bassin of Bureau Europa you can experience an installation by Transport artspace X Subite
“Pimp My Bike”
Subite is a young artists’ collective from Tilburg in which spatial installation, narrative, theatre set design, and the relationship with the audience are central to our practice. In previous Subite exhibitions we presented, among other things, boxing matches accompanied by live jazz, a life-sized peep box, and a brown café with regulars frozen in time. Through Mike Moonen’s earlier participation in their program, close ties developed between Subite and Transport Artspace. In 2026 we build on this with an artistic exchange between the two initiatives. Especially for the Museum Night Month Maastricht 2026, we present an installation inspired by retrieving bicycles from the water and by the city of Maastricht. “Pimp My Bike” will be created during a short residency period leading up to Museum Night. During this time we will focus on developing a performance and installation with attention to the surrounding environment.
For this edition of Museum Night, the following Subite makers join forces: Jannis Veenstra, Johnny Gering, Marijn Niggebrugge, Merel van de Put, and Paco Pelaez de Haan.
