Film ‘Mission Statements’ by Jord den Hollander

The film tells the story of four exceptionally striking new embassies in Paramaribo (Surinam), Berlin, Maputo (Mozambique) and Addis Abeba (Ethiopia).

‘Mission Statements’ describes the realization of the buildings and shows daily life in the embassies. The film exposes the cultural aspect in diplomacy and shows the sometimes hilarious misunderstandings that can evolve from that; an unusual image of the Dutch identity.

Film maker Jord den Hollander was present during this evening and he gave a personal introduction to the film.
