Academia: A dynamic summer programme

Bureau Europa opened its doors in January for various collaborations with local educational institutions. This summer, we’d like to share the results with you.

Academia offers a wide-ranging programme, which currently features:

Archibox

Wednesday 8 July 14.00 to 16.00 and Saturday 11 July  10.00 to 12.00

Bureau Europa will research new programme components in 2020 and together with Erica Kim (Maastricht University) we have developed an initial programme specially for children. The first test days of Archibox are on Wednesday 8 July and Saturday 11 July.

Children's activity

The Archiboxes are available at Bureau Europa and are for children aged 6 to 10. The boxes provide children with elements for drawing, crafting, or building their own architecture. With fun instructions, kids can create their own miniature workshop and learn to think about their home, street, and city, or even fascinating architecture from other parts of the world!

Erica Kim

Archibox was conceived by Erica Kim, student of Art, Culture and Heritage (Maastricht University). As part of her master's thesis on educational activities in museums, she made a prototype children's programme, which Bureau Europa can now offer to our youngest visitors.

You can register your children for the Archibox test days by sending an email to info@bureau-europa.nl. A maximum of 6 children can participate in the test.

Dates 8 July2020 14.00 to 16.00 and 11 July 2020, 10.00 to 12.00.
