Euregional innovation
Throughout history, the Euregio has always been a coherent area. The various cities and nature reserves are connected at a physical, social and historical level, which is tangible in this exhibition. Alongside the parallels are also differences, and each project has its own distinctive character.
The Euregional young architects build on the area’s heritage and thus develop an experimental and innovative view of the future. Featuring:
- Bregt Bogaerts ‘Down the Middle’: a Grand Hotel on the Genk mining slag heap
- Twan Hermans ‘Fŏve’: redevelopment of the Thermenterrein in Heerlen
- Max Stetzkowsky ‘Transition Gate’: the transition to a new ring road in Aachen
The architects receive their diplomas on Friday 8 October, when the presentation opens in our library and runs until 24 October.
