aHOUSEforHOME Summer School is a week-long architecture course in Maastricht. The course is created for Ukrainian teenagers aged 12 to 17 who find themselves far from home and want to explore architecture, urbanism, and design, develop creative skills, and collaboratively create an architectural project for Maastricht.

aHOUSEforHOME is created as a space for new social interactions. In the context of forced migration, it is crucial for us to find our place in new cities and different linguistic environments. Our laboratory invites teenagers to join the course and actively participate in the cultural life of the city.

About the program:
The summer school program is designed around joint architectural project and mastering architectural skills. During the course, a group of students will learn how to sketch and draw, make models, research and implement architectural ideas. The program includes excursions around the city and its surroundings, lectures, a lot of general creative workshops, communication and a final presentation.

 

Format:

7 days, from July 8 to 14.

In the formats of workshops, lectures, excursions, exhibitions, simulations and discussions.
